The contrast composition easily differentiate from the existing but complement each other thus enhancing the living quality of the residents. The dwelling will adopt basic ecological principles such as maximizing daylighting, cross ventilation, and shading on west facing façade. Existing house’s functions and structures will be retained utmost with minimum changes. Continuity of functions between old and new, open plan, and efficient land-used plot will be considered during the design as the total area of the plot is limited.
